Never buy waterproof. If cold is a factor, wear wool socks anyways. Breathability > dryness

I wish they made a boot that looked just like this, but with a steel toe cap and a under centre cap that protects the curvature of the bottom foot

Theres no such thing as waterproof combat boots. Any boots compliant with army regulations will absorb water no matter how much you waterproof them. If you really want to stay dry, youll have to wear rubber boots which.

Not in the service, canoe camping and hiking a lot. Year round. Been happy with leather from 90s w Panama sole. Sandhills of nc. Not to cold or wet much but occasionally. Like to try not to carry too much stuff. Thx.

Anyone else find the metal loops on the bottom of the tongue extremely uncomfortable, I would have liked these boots if it wasn’t for that pressure point..
