Ben Affleck's unmade Batman movie remains one of the most fascinating relics of the DCEU, with five major questions lingering about the story Affleck had planned. Ben Affleck would first don his cape and cowl in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which would serve as a follow-up to 2013's Man of Steel. Affleck's tenure as Batman would experience some major behind-the-scenes turmoil with the infamous reshoots of 2017's Justice League, which would lead Affleck to walk away from playing Batman and Matt Reeves's The Batman to subsequent develop, albeit outside the DCEU.

Eventually, the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign would lead to Snyder's original version of the film being released as Zack Snyder's Justice League in 2021, while Affleck would appear as Batman again in The Flash. Despite the new DCU franchise plans unfolding under DC Studios, there remains a fervent ongoing curiosity about both Snyder's planned Justice League sequels and Affleck's Batman film. Meanwhile, details provided by Affleck, Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello, and storyboard artist Jay Oliva have revealed a significant amount about Affleck's Batman film.
