I remember the early days of BW OU on Smogon.

Most battles were sand mirrors that came down to whose Swords Dance Sand Rush Air Balloon Excadrill got to sweep. Air Balloon didn't have the warning message yet, so you could even use it for mind games where opponents didn't know whether or not to chance an Earthquake.

My favorite sand team is actually a rain team. Special Ttar, Skarm, Keldeo check, rain abuser, Empoleon (for Latios), and Gastrodon. Ttar has fire blast and thunder (yeah, it learns Thunder), so ideally, the opposing rain team leads with Ferrothorn and I lead with Tar. Ferro gets OHKO'd 100% of the time by a max Sp.atck life orb fire blast, then the rain team sends in Politoed. Ttar thunders it, doing about 80-90%. If Politoed doesn't KO Ttar then I pursuit when they switch (cause they think I'll switch to set sand again). After that my team is set to abuse rain

I think you should do a video on hail teams. Not to show how to build them necessarily, but to show a perfect example of an unviable archetype.

Thx for the great vid on my favorite gen! I remember the good days when you could destroy Lando and Skarm every game b/c nobody expected invested Fire Blast or HP Ice. I used it for a WcoP qualifier for Benelux some yrs ago, sadly we lost that series anyway :(

Idk if you read comments on your older videos, but I've been casually making a sand team for my playthrough of Blaze Black. Even though it's just single play for fun stuff, the team building and theory crafting remains my favorite part of the game by far. I've been struggling reading old guides since all of the information is scattered across the internet. Having one "definitive" guide in a single video that is easy and understandable has been such a blessing. Absolutely love your content, and subscribed even though this is from two years ago. I appreciate it BKC!
