In today's local SEO video , I will answer what is the difference between optimizing your local business websites service pages for a county plus your primary keyword. As opposed to targeting cities and your primary keywords in your optimization or towns. The question of what type of location page should I create ?

This location page issue comes up quite a bit. Why not have both counties and cities for best geo targeting. And having all of them it's not that it is bad it is just not optimal for Google rankings.

Ill cover the advantages and the disadvantages of creating location pages for cities vs local pages for towns or counties in your service area. I have watched as many of your videos as possible on this topic of building out geo targeted location service pages, however I am left with an underlying question. I have heard you say in the past that the homepage should simply target brand-related keywords and this makes sense. However, when I search for the keywords that I am trying to target with my geo targeted location service pages, it appears that Google is rewarding homepages rather than these geo targeted location service pages. Thus, would you still apply your homepage philosophy of targeting brand-related keywords and writing content that answers who, what, where, when, and why keywords about the brand?

Ok so before this new update I use to get a much of calls around all different types of service areas. Now with the new update only business that have address are showing up. For example I put pool cleaning and only people with address showing up are popping up and my business isn't. Any suggestions
