Local SEO: How to Create Location Pages that Rank on Google in 2024

In today's video what I will walk you through is a way that you can quickly and easily create local Pages for your local Business website that will actually get rankings in 2024.

One of the very first things that I cover in this video is going to be how to understand what the top performing websites have and how you can replicate this on your own sites. Along with what is going to be the target heading count. Then I cover how many of the headings need to be optimized and last but not least what the overall corpuses density needs to be in order to compete.

Then once this is done I will share with you how you can create uniqueness for your Local Pages containing local factual information that will not disrupt the overall optimization of your page.

If you have any future questions related to local search engine optimization or anything SEO related please feel free to go ahead and ask below or I'm always happy to help you rank on Google.#localseo #locationpages

Hello Mr.Palmer,

I apply the same method for my boss website (a niche - mattress retailer in Canada region ) and it worked out successfully.

Hey Chris I have a problem with the full-time job that I work for for a contractor outside of New York. I respect your opinion and I know you understand local SEO at a granular level because you have all the words that I've been wanting to break away to make time to study. I understand it too and I know what works and have for a while but we have a bunch of pages that have been crawl but not indexed by Google search console. We made a couple of mistakes for one we used the same page template even though I am the SEO content writer and I change the page strategy about every 5 to 10 pages for sections I changed formatting on every page I made sure it wasn't just the keyword replaced and they all had unique content designed specially for that city, we use different pictures, but we use the same featured images on all the pages because I wasn't the publisher, we don't have any alt tags on the first half of the pages, and they were being produced about 3 to 5 a day because I work full time. My question is do you have any idea what would fix it? Do we need to drop the template and make different pages for every location? or would it fix it to change the featured image so that they're unique on every page, add a real canonical or the lone tail keyword associated with that city and doctor them up a little bit?

I would really appreciate an answer. 40 families are surviving on this company and the normal ramp that I get going straight up in the air when I get with a client has been going down for 6 months because they did some major site restructuring and now we're having this problem. I really want to fix this. thanks for your time!

What content do you put on the homepage so that it doesn't outrank the location pages? Is it the same without the local specifics? Or something really minimal and having people choose a location first? Or what?

For location pages, should you use different NAP details for each page? Or keep your original NAP from the home page?

do you use itemprop="hidden" on content you insert into the schema only so it is not visible on the publicly live page version?

What should you do if one or more of your location pages shows "crawled - not indexed" in GSC?

@chris-palmer how long should you wait to see the results of your location pages before you start optimizing?

I posted new location pages a week ago and the results are improved but not sure if i should wait 2-3 more weeks or even a month to see if I can get onto the 1st or 2nd page while I build out more pages.

Hi Chris, thank you for the video!

I have a few questions, I hope you answer these.

1. I've been following the same strategy (I use different content for each location page), but recently the location pages are getting de-indexed or going in the Crawled, Currently Not Indexed section in GSC.

2. How do you internal link the location pages? What I do is link from the main unlocalized service page by adding an "Areasa we serve" section and having all the areas listed with hyperlinks to the respective location pages.

Would love to know your insight on these. Many thanks!

Do you change out other content besides the titles? Do you create unique content for each page? I am wondering if it will hurt you in the search if the pages have a lot of the same content.
