The best part of this is how poor blind Tiresias works his ass of for his whole life, even gets transformed into a woman for 7 years, just so that he could get bothered by Odysseus even after he dies.

At 2:02 listen closely. You can hear the chorus chanting "Sirens song, scylla's throat, mutiny, lightening bolt, fight Poseidon, kill all the suitors for love"

I love how masterful and slightly misleading these lyrics are.

That angry who at the ends hold very much of Odysseus's confusion, worry and anger. It's understandable as the person who is singing, who had said his going to bring all of them back home safely and just told him that his wife is in danger and your own men is going to die, that would make anyone angry, worried and confused

HOLY CRAP the backing vocals have been telling us what is going to happen in the other sagas THIS.WHOLE.TIME. After ody asks “WHO?!” The prophet repeats but after a few seconds the backing vocals are telling us what will happen in the other sagas that came out and what’s to come.

Honestly, the entire musical is quite literally an epic masterpiece but this song in particular is so clever.

i just realized Tiresias says "Faces of men who had long believed you're dead" meaning he'll reach his palace, hinting to ody that he very much will make it, This just me tho
