Fun Fact: The story is basically this little pink creature (His canon name is Blixer) took apart the tree of "power triangles" (or triangles of power, whatever you want to call them) to consume and become all powerful, to bring his reign of rock and techno music and rule for all eternity. And you (the little blue shape) must stop him.

If you notice, the corrupted power triangles and aspects of this geometrical world become corrupted by Blixer's power (and the corrupted power triangles themselves) to fight you.
The standard music levels have checkpoints while the boss levels do not and you have to start over from the beginning of the song each time you fail.

Your little buddies are that one blue square with a face, the helicopter, and the pirate ship. The rest are mostly just "fans" and "extras". Sorta like Waddle Dees from Kirby or Toads from Super Mario games.

The only "sentient" creatures are the bosses. Even though the normal music levels look like something's trying to attack you, it's mostly just shapes and beats. XD

I don't know why, but like you said, "Try This" song has a reference or more like a story, but not in the way you think. So basically in "Try This", you're a robber who's trying to steal a jewel from a bank, those circle that explode are a light ray (i'm just gonna call it light ray) from a watch tower, and those square like thingy that shoot four way lasers is a sniper aim and when the laser shoot that's when the sniper shoot, oh and also sirens.

After a couple minutes, you've reached inside the vault where the jewel is kept, but the guards caught you and the jewel gets hidden by a security system, and like i mentioned before, those circle and square like thingy that shoot lasers are... well you know, and/but those shuriken things are bullets that the guards shoot

This isn't a canon fact, it's just what i think it is, but maybe it's actually canon

Fun fact: there’s actually MORE story mode to play, when you finish the game you get a new chapter called “The lost chapter” which is basically a chapter that takes place between the tutorial and paradise

Lycanthropy, from psychology sciences, is a mental illness (or a mental state) where the person believes (product from a delusion) that he/she is a werewolf or is transforming into one.
Is linked with werewolves urban legend (I mean, all that things related to Full Moon, werewolves, and so on).
Is important to not confuse "Lycanthropy" to "Werewolving", 'cuz the last one is an actual condition (fictional, of course) where the person, in Full Moon periods, and when certain time was approached, actually transforms into a werewolf. However, the first one is just a mental illness, without transforming really.
That's why that boss song is called Lycanthropy, Cardi (the artist) took the name for the song as a reference to that, and also because if you listen carefully, you can hear in the song some wolves making the "awhooo" sound, in the background.

In 55:40, you haven't noticed what was happening below you. A Lycan ( those spiky things you fought in Lycantrophy, just that uncorrupted) was getting knocked by a piston and grabbed by a claw.
