Seven Seas | Just Shapes and Beats Fan Boss Fight

I can’t believe I managed to finish another my own fan JSAB boss battle! This one was started almost a year ago but the majority of work was done this summer.

Idea of how boat could be corrupted in the game: right after you (player) and your sailing companion arrive at the factory, you land on a platform near the boat. If you stand there doing absolutely nothing for 7 minutes it will get angry at you and accidentally hit the platform which activates flushing and our friend gets sucked into some pipe. After that the game continues with no changes except for the moment when you reach your square friend. Suddenly, a huge wave appears and washes your friend away but instead, Shippy appears right below the corrupted triangle and instead of “Close to me” you have to beat “Seven Seas” to rescue boat this time.

Again, I wanted to do a cutscene at first but there’s a new JSAB update and I really want to play it ASAP!

i just realised, the boat, cube, and heli are the most powerful characters in the base game, as they can entirely withstand corruption, and even fight back.

alrighty, but the way Ship tries his best to push away and stop attacks whenever he can is just amazing, goes to show that he's still in there, just overshadowed. also the way that the corrupted "cannonballs" flew out of Ship before the song ended made him look like just a vessel for the infection, and as an avid horror movie fan, i love that concept.
great job Alex, you did amazing with this!

I love how the circles are moving in a way that gives the illusion of them being the underside of an octopus, really suits the pirate/seas theme going on.

I love that the ship makes a safe spot for you by holding back the wave in the beginning, still trying to protect you as long as possible.

Yooo that underwater effect is so cool! I love how the corruption sorta flows in and out of the boat, and that skull form is just awesome!

I've never played JSAB, I don't know the lore, but seeing the ship help the player by pushing away an attack at 0:48 and then dancing is just super wholesome to me

Update: Played through JSAB, and now its even more wholesome

I love how the sail is drawn for different forms of the ship because it makes it looks like it's glitching when it switches between them quickly at 0:55

Now THAT’S a good boss concept!
If we’re going along with the story, then we’ve got two options for the rest of his forms

1. He uses his other forms to mess with the player in the world map
2. He goes through the first bossfight and doesn’t become I corrupted at the end of it, instead, he gets a second level with a new song, where he uses the rest of his forms, maybe all of them!

2.5. In an alternative version of 2, instead of remaining corrupted, he could seem to be cured, but later on in the game the corruption resurfaces in him, and he becomes the boss of the next level

Im very new to just shapes and beats (my life has been geometry dash) but this is fooking amazing- the way the bass drops, and the treble bubbles along with the scene AS WELL AS HAVING A FADED STORY LINE QWQ

The lore of corrupted pirate boi:

At first scene, you can see the the sea float violently that it rip out 7 core of the seas (as song tittle says) and through that core the pirate boi was born out of 7 pure evil of the seas.

But the pirate boi was newborn baby when he saw shapes (cube) and he was scared of what they could do...

so he choose to protect himself, by launching the sea strike like pokemon and decide to block it because he want to make sure the shape to not get to close to him. But the shape... they didn't even move, in fact they even get close and closer to him.
To the point where the pirate boi choose to attack the shape with his powers of the seas.

4 main core of the pirate boi:
The captain:
The main core of the pirate boi, the most powerful core

The shadows:
The shadows represents the core of captain about their dark past

The gear:
The mechanical component of the pirate boi which represent all weapon on the ship

The cruise:
The royal core of the seas, only take order from captain core without asking questions

When combined two of them will create new core...

The fighter:
The gear combined with The cruise core create a new core named The fighter which use the hook and canon to fight the shape

As it happen the pirate boi loose his control over the strongest core which is, The captain core.
When the core take controls, the pirate boi slowly turned into big skulls of evil and begin to attack the shape.
After a long fight, the captain core loose his energy and to generate his energy back the captain core must wait...

While the captain core generate his energy, the fighter core which launch his attack towards the shape..

When the captain core was fully generate his power back, it launch all of his power to the shape, and soon enough the captain core looses his energy
after that they kiss

Just recently rebeat this game for not only lost chapters but just to go back through and see this beauty of a game. And now with my refueled knowledge of the story and mechanics, these fan bosses are so much cooler.
