Let’s Fly | Just Shapes and Beats Fan Boss Fight

I finally finished it! It took me more than a month to make however I’ve been cherishing the idea of Heli’s own boss battle for more than a year!

So, yea, the backstory: At the factory if you fly up instead of down at the helicopter stage you'll end up just above the triangle which turns flowers pink and corrupted Squareboy in the original game (where "Close to me" begins). And right there Heli finds a lever and stops the conveyor. Squareboy is uncorrupted, everyone's happy... until suddenly that triangle appears right at front of the helicopter and corrupts it instead.

At first I even wanted to make this cutscene but I really wanted to share the actual level.
And I’m also really upset that I failed to upload this animation in 4K and with 60fps as it originally was.

What I liked from this fan made, the movement, not only the same sprite animation tht heli had, adding more transformation from the corruptio + front facing mode, the weapon gave it a taste of evil, thats somthing that not too many bosses have

I feel like if the ‘player’ movements were more active and realistic it would complete this but other than that its a solid 10/10

I think for the backstory this would be better: In the scene where heli tries to stop the claw from putting sad cube on the conveyor, heli succeeds, but also goes flying back like he does in the original. However, he lands on the conveyor, and gets corrupted.

Both this and 'Close to Me' make me cry.I litterally cannot handle the bit where it looks up and says the words 'let's fly' while crying.All it wants to do is just fly with its friends.

Heli seems like the kind of character to willingly be corrupted to save another, and then proceeding to chaotically kill everyone she loves while doing so
