This was back in the day with a kinder, gentler JJ. Nowadays, she'd bite someone's head off for speaking out of turn. Unless you have a union or personal employment contract with a business, you're an 'at will' employee, which means you can leave anytime or be let go at any time in all 50 states .

Same thing happened to me as well
Passed the test, interview and told to come and start the job...SO left my job and when I arrived to the new place they told me it was a mistake they made and they don't have place for me. Honestly I just sat there and smiled and left.... called me after one month and tell me to come I told them a big NO!!!! Contract is a must!!
