Physics is said to be "the study of everything." Without physics, our world as we know it today would not function. As Carl Sagan wisely said, "Our species needs, and deserves, a citizenry with minds wide awake and a basic understanding of how the world works."

I love physics! Well it’s been a love hate relationship over the last six years. There are definitely moments when you’re learning physics and you want to rip your hair out. But the high you feel after solving a tough problem is incredible. If you have any interest in the subject my suggestion is to dive right in and go for it. I was a straight C student sometimes even Ds in high school. I got my bs in physics and have been working on my PhD. On a tangent but this quote is what keeps me motivated when I’m struggling:

“We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard”-JFK

Challenge your self in life. Do what’s hard! It’ll be rewarding.
