Isaac Newton was also taught in the Classical manner, and had studied at Cambridge for YEARS before he invented Calculus. I mean, he is far more privileged in regards to education (his stepfather was also a clergyman, and I’m sure that was an influence as the clergy were generally among the most well-educated of the time).
