Iman Gadzhi explains why being a vegan year round is not good. In the early age of humanity there were no vegans. Like he said in the video, if everything is frozen outside how are you going to eat vegan?

You can pickle stuff and carrots onions and turnips and patatoes can be stored in a dark place like a basement and last the winter so yes it’s possible to eat vegetables year round in Russia

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but this argument is kinda stupid. For most of past several thousand years, most people in settled agricultural societies had a nearly completely vegetarian diet. Meat was far to valuable, and livestock were far too useful to kill. Most European peasants would eat meat maybe once per week if they were lucky. It's only in modern times with our relative abundance that most people in the world can eat meat on a regular basis.

Grew up in Oklahoma. Been to many farms. Every vegan I knew it was the same for them. Maybe meet more people man. I’m not vegan anymore but this hate for people eating what they want is ridiculous. Eat meat if you want, eat vegan if you want, but for the love of god just shut up about other peoples decisions that don’t affect you in any way.

Weird. You'd think someone living in Russia where it's -15 degrees would be familiar with the concept of freezing.

Because it is like a religion. They are proselyting.

To be honest I hear people who aren't vegan talk about vegans more than vegans even do at this point.

I don't care if people are vegan because it just means more meat for me.

I’m a farmer from long ago and agree. We had a couple canned peaches and some old potatoes for awhile in the winter, but beef, pork and chicken all the time and home churned butter and fresh raw milk. If we could get to town (snow and sub zero ) I could have a Pay Day candy bar, uncle Marvin was good to me. We ate well.

It’s because we are supposed to migrate with nature. Humans aren’t required to stay in a cold environment.

I don't care if people are vegan, eat what you want. Growing up, my family raised and butchered some animals every year. Something about helping take care of the animals you're gonna eat, there's this level of respect you feel towards them. You feel like you owe them to the best life you can give them. I don't know, I've never felt guilty eating an animal I know was cared for or buying locally from trusted people, like how I feel buying meat from a grocery store, knowing how those animals are treated.

Grew up going to my Grands' farm. Still maintained a vegan lifestyle from 21-23. I learned to can very early and it is possible to maintain during the winter.
I still went back to meat. Damn I love a good burger. And imagine life without tacos.

There were quite a few civilizations and groups that lived exclusively vegan. I'm not even vegetarian, but to try and say that humans should exclusively be eating meat is downright lies. Tell me you won't eat broccoli because it's icky without telling me.

Canning, drying, pickling, ...freezing..., salting, smoking. If you're forced to only do it old school without anything fancy or modern that only leaves you with pickling, salting, smoking, drying, and freezing. Oh no, what ever shall I do

dude really missed the point of why a lot of people go vegan in the first place.

lol well I grew up in farming country and I’m vegan. It may have been necessary many tears ago to eat meat. That’s not the point. The point is that we don’t have to in most areas of the world so why should we?
