He didn't injure the cat, just 'taught' it a lesson. Brilliant dog.

Anybody saying the dog is aggressive has never been punched in the face before

I just agree with your "opinion". It's not just an opinion, it's facts.

Golden retrievers are very gentle by nature, he taught that cat a lesson.

That cat is lucky that the dog is very collected and restrained.

I will never trust someone that calls a dog aggressive for correcting

The dog limited contact and walked away. Any thinking person can know this dog wasn't aggressive. In grown up world we call this appropriate self defense.

That cat found out what FAFO means first hand. Dog had every right to defend itself.

I totally agree with you. Some people see a dog showing "aggressive behaviour" but they might be misunderstanding the situation. I hope more people can watch your video and learn from this.

I agree with you. The dog didn't harm the cat. He /she just stopped the attack.

Force meets force and that's exactly what the dog did. The dog was controlled enough to walk away. I agree with your opinion.

I Actually Completely Agree With You In Your Assessment Of How The Golden Handled What The Cat Had Done... It Couldve Ended Up Much Worse For The Cat But The Cat Didnt Even Run Away As If Saying That He ACCEPTED THE CORRECTION By The Pup!!! The Pup Seemed To Check Back n Make Sure That The Cat Understood Which He Did Then The Pup Went Right Back On His Way... PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW ANIMALS SHOULD HANDLE ISSUES AMONGST THEMSELVES... Thank You For Sharing!!!

I agree. This dog properly corrected bad behavior and is a gentle animal.

As someone who's had both cats and dogs (2 cats and a dog at the same time). I have to agree this is ok, good even. The older &/ bigger pet sibling is kinda in charge of setting the record straight while not taking things too far.
It's important to note that a dog's idea of play, and a cat's idea of play, are 2 very different things. Looks like the cat was trying to play and the dog was startled like "wHat tHe HeCk is- oh... hi bro/sis"

I agree with you. It is unfortunate that there are those who will claim that this is a dangerous, vicious animal. There are so many that when they see an animal correct another animal for their behaviour, that they themselves are being domineering. I truly wish that people would understand that an animal’s language is different than ours, including how they correct the behaviour of another animal. This is a great example of a true alpha personality. I noticed how the golden retriever had his tail high, and how he was more about teaching a lesson rather than damaging the cat. It makes me think they may be of the same household or pack if you will. This is a fantastic example of the Alpha ‘s correction to bad behaviour or too high of energy from another animal.
