Make Your Canvas Changes Permanent In Inkscape

When opening a new document in Inkscape, you may have noticed that it always uses the same page layout, even if you change those settings in the Document Properties menu. In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to make those changes permanent so that Inkscape always launches with your preferences in place.

I just have a question on something totally different. How do you activate the feature that allows corner nodes for objects to automatically snap together?

I remember trying this a couple of years ago but it didn't work as I expected it to, I wonder if they improved on this feature since? Now it works exactly as I want to. Maybe I was just dumber back then. ;) Anyway, is there an option to launch without the tab view fully expanded? I always start out every session with dragging the tab view slightly to the right as to not having it take up so much space and even if it's a small thing it adds up, you know?
