It's what makes fishing so enjoyable for me, always a new challenge and something to learn. Im enjoying watching your learning curve.

The Guru x-safe stems use black hydro. I always use them whenever possible. I am convinced they actually improve my hook up and landing ratio.
I think its rated 12-16. So thats green or blue zipp for you.
Guessing you'll chose blue?

I have to admire your patience.
I would have to cast every 20mins max. Otherwise it would do my nut in. I would just use the smallest feeder I could get away with so I don't overfeed the line.
All the underwater footage I've ever seen and even my lure fishing make me think that carp are really nosey sods and have to investigate a splash of any kind. So little and often is a good choice.

Gardner Tackle Rigid Rig Tube (3.175mm O/D and 2mm I/D) and Rig Tube Slim (1.8mm O/D and 0.8mm I/D) will fit into the tail rubbers and stems on most hybrid and method feeders - great if you don't want the 6" flight set-up, and 125mm is my preferred length for the "extended" stem. I set these up so that both sizes of feeder have the same extension length above the feeder and original stem. The slim tubing is better for changeability, but the wider tubing is better for stability. You're welcome.

Another excellent video, the content and your voice over makes it very enjoyable, plus all the tackle and tactics you talk about to enable you to come second in the match brilliant. Please keep them coming Joe look forward each week to see how you do and thank you.

Hi Joe, when i used to fish the stillwater champs at boddy, when wanting to cast near to the 100 yards, we used to stand on the top step, for the extra hight, then walk down to your box as feeder is in the air

Love watching your approach to Boddington. I did some home made long stems from cut off no 1 pole sections including elastic as I prefer them especially for bigger fish. I look forward to seeing the next installment. Tight Lines Steve Amison 👍🦆🎣

I like the way you present your videos. Plenty of explanation as it progresses. Well done another brilliant video. Success is not just in winning but with the experience you gain and the lessons you learn.

Thanks Joe. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself, a 2nd on your second match is good going. A few struggles only makes a victory over those big lumps far sweeter.
That 'Medusa' rig you showed us, a scaled down version fished on the pole has caught me some big largemouth bass and perch, on a part of the river where the locals assured me that there were no big ones of either species, so thanks for that too.

Loving this series of films Joe, as someone who started fishing Boddington a few years ago I fully get the story, a few wins and plenty of next peg bashings later the place still drive me mad. It is an addictive venue! Those Tuesday matches have some top quality lads on, Stu should start on -50lb though, he's a bit good😂 keep up the content👍🎣

I’d fish a 6” boilie rig ( 19:32 carp rig 15mm boilie ), single hook bait ! 2 oz lead etc ! If you fancy it, have a feeding rod to feed a few boilies
