Poor Christie Golden; first they cancelled Sword of the Jedi in 2014, now one of her first novels for the "unified" canon gets retconned hard and left for dead in a dark alleyway.

Filoni is basically a real life Anakin. He just can't let go. His unhealthy affection to Ahsoka and now even Ventress damages the established lore and canon beyond repair.

Shortly after the trailer aired they said they weren't retconing Dark Disciple and the day the episode premiered they said that there is a planned story on how Ventress is back alive that they just haven't told yet.

You are 100% correct. I had a lot of good faith towards Dave after Mando season 1/2. But it’s basically all gone now after how bad everything else was

*Also, there's no doubt in my mind we'll see how Ventress was brought back from the dead. My guess is it'll be nightsister magick on dathomir, since that was her resting place. I'm 100% positive fans will cry about it, but Filoni wont leave that thread hanging

not everyone reads the books or comics, it doesnt matter to me, now its too late to keep her dead BUT she could die on screen, we just dont know yet

The books are only canon until they aren't. Books and comics are 3rd tier canon. They can be over written by games, shows, and movies. At this point books and comics are basically endorsed fan fiction.

Legends are the only way I know a history is good, because if disney don't want it, it means it is good, expect clone wars, but true fans know that was cannon with the EU already, everything before disney is guaranteed to be good, even the specials are better than everything disney made this far

Just wait a few days for the same thing with Barriss Offee in Tales of the Empire because a book told him to. If you think everything that is made cannot be erased to show another story then we would still be stuck in a universe where star wars the christmas special would be canon.

it does you and your video a disservice to insist "mental gymnastics" specifically with the example of night sister magic you use it against, because that is, in fact, a thing.

You forget at the end of the book, we see her body levitate above the pools of dathomire, which likely held a magical property to resurrect her from her injuries. I don’t disagree that it’s a little unreasonable, but I plan on waiting till they release a statement or explanation as to why she’s alive and he stated her involvement will make sense and not contradict that book. Seriously I think you jumped the gun just a little bit. Just see where it goes.

It's really not that complicated. She either wasn't really dead, or the Force magic on Dathomir brought her back. It's not like we haven't been seeing impossible things on a regular basis in Star Wars since the beginning. Star Wars has always been fantasy. What part of this are you having so much trouble with?

Lucasfilm fired the canon out of a cannon into the sun. It limits their "creative freedom".

I miss when being a nerd and arguing over things was fun... Now you just get called a gatekeeper and a bigot by people who never liked the stuff in the first place until it was the hype new thing.

I also used to be a TCW and Rebels fan growing up but now that I’m an adult, I’m just so sick of Filoni’s boring and formulaic shows.
