You Can Conquer Fear | Deep Breath Devotional

Are you ready to take a Deep Breath? Today we have a beautiful verse from 2 Timothy 1:7, which says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”

Today we are going to reject any spirit of fear and instead receive God’s power, love, and sound mind. We boldly declare today that fear has to go! Anxiety has to go! Stress must go! And in their place, we receive the peace of God. Go ahead and even say this outloud: “Jesus, I receive your peace.”

You may have started your day nervous or afraid about something. Maybe there’s a situation that has you scared or feeling stressed out. And you may even feel your body responding to your fear: your heart beats faster, your palms start to sweat. We’ve all been there. But, guess what? You can choose PEACE instead of PANIC. God offers us a powerful promise when He says our spirit is one of power, love, and a sound mind. So, stand on that promise today and know that in Christ, you are a conqueror!
