Don't rush into your first fight or any fight for that matter. Make sure you have these 3 fight essentials covered before you get in the ring. They are the building blocks to becoming a champion.

Cardio for me is most important, you would be suprised how tired you get quickly when a guy is coming at you throwing shots..

1 Defense and knowlage of how to survive if and when shit hits the fan.

2 Don't have to think about combos or offence but it's natural and automatic response

3 be confident in your cardio, if you have doubts in your cardio you are not ready, this means you haven't really tested your self in training at the gym.

4 Be able to go from 0 to 100 in a realy mean way, be willing and actually able to hurt people with simple strikes.

5 Mental clerification, Like the suffering, be willing to bounce back from a lose, a win is great but know the difference between good lose and bad lose.

I'm sure a lot of people, including myself, would love to hear about how to surround yourself with the right people when pursuing a fight career. The behind the scenes stuff that no one knows about. Like your breakdown on different promotions, where to find fights, how to not set yourself up for failure, etc.

2. Power strike

something I would add to this is to prepare well. i prepared shit for my first fight. overtrained like hell the week before out of anxiety and then my cardio gave out way sooner then if i had just taken the week off

So I’ve been only doing Muay Thai kickboxing for a month and some weeks now but I was told to jump in my first PKB tournament in early December. This video is very simple but beneficial, if anyone has anything to add as far as advice please let me know.

Very good advice. Been training about a year now. My coach want me to fight after training for 3months. Lucky i did not. I would have hurt my self back than. After a year of training and sparring with some pros. I feel ready to kick arsses

I have my first fight in 20 days, I’ve been training for a while now, I’m confident but certainly will not underestimate my opponent, I’m gonna use a lot of faint, low kick mix with elbows

My son is half Thai and he's been training only 2 months and his gym want him to fight. They even told me he needs to work on his guard and get fitter. They want him to fight in 2 weeks time. My gut feeling is to pull him from the fight. He's 15 years old BTW.
