I couldn't get Starlink, so I set out for home internet and discovered cellular internet options. I have been testing equipment and plans, I share those results with you.

This is one thing I don’t have to worry about! Thankfully thru Spectrum since I am a senior citizen on a limited income I was able to get free internet, didn’t even have to pay for the router box! This is something that the government offered during Covid, and they told me if the program is ever canceled that internet service would cost me $40 a month, and I didn’t buy the cable package from them, I got Roku instead so I can watch TV for free also. I am sure your video will be very helpful to those that want ways to connect to the internet faster! Have a great week.

With 15 years in the cable TV field, here's my suggestions for grounding. You need to install grounding blocks between the cables out of the antennas and the wires going into the home. Attach those to ground. Electromagnetic signal is what you want to get rid of. That will clean up your signals.

Nice. Happy to see you are supporting small business owners.

In regards to the issue of one cable vs the other... Most likely one or both are water-damaged internally, OR if the coax was "a cheap amazon choice" it may just be junk imitation coax that was junk when it was new, OR it is 50ohm cable when it should be 75ohm cable (or vice versa). Dig into the topic of coax with regards to amateur radio and there is an insane amount of information. Not all coax is created equal. Its a deep rabbit hole to go down. For example, Wikipedia lists the specs of 50+ types of coaxial cable. You may already know this, but some viewers definitely do not. (love the videos btw!)

Hi, Andrew! Thank you for yet another excellent video. Your content is always well planned and informative. You are helping a lot of people with some of their technical issues.

Finding this was the break I need. I too was ready for Starlink only to be let down...
Thank you so much for the content and the great folks here responding. Hard line is literally .5 miles away from my property and has kept me from moving out there for years. Now I may have a solution. It's sad that in the USA, we struggle with this. I have multiple UK friends who just can't believe we don't have decent internet and good utilities in rural areas...

A bit of general information. Those waveform log and panel antennas are not amplified. They do a better job of handling reception and transmission because they are directional vs omnidirectional ones.

I didn't see any replies about why switching cables matters, so I'll take a stab at it.
The angle of an antenna is known as its polarization, and matched polarization yields the best signal. Traditional polarization was either horizontal (like a TV antenna) or vertical like an old-school car aerial. To reduce signal conflict, however, cellular uses cross polarization (like a railroad crossing sign).
With low-bandwidth uploads traveling at a 90° rotation from high-bandwidth downloads, they are the least likely to interfere with each other.
When you switched the cables, you aligned the polarizations.
MIMO panel antennas are also cross polarized. They just don't look like it because it is easy to hide 2 (or 4) dipole (stick) antennas in a relatively flat square panel. Log-periodic antennas (beams) like yours are well suited to cone-styled weather protection than the flat panels that house crossed dipoles.
Finally, if the signal has to bounce around to reach your antenna, you may do better with a panel antenna than a "beam." Although these high frequencies don't like to travel "through" objects they can still bounce off of them.

I am in the same boat, but A T and T did my parents a favor and they have DSL. My house is litterally 1000 yards if that through the woods from them just up the road and they said they do not do that anymore. No other ISP besides hughes net will service my house, so I do need what you have! I need unlimited data as well for gaming and just internet in general love your series! Keep up the good work!

Definitely helpful for those who can't get a different type of internet. Thanks Andrew!

Shout out from NWFlorida! Andrew been extremely interested in this for sometime from getting the best cell phone signal, possibilities of having the capability.of good quality internet or ability to watch some movies on occasion. Like you we live in a rural area, we have a 5 acre organic blueberry farm and chickens, etc. We've been wanting to build a barn dominium. We owe nothing on anything, I'm disabled and can only do a limited amount of thing's. I recycle, repurpose and reuse many things most folks don't think of and actually invent something's. But hey, my wife and I enjoy your channel the good and bad but the openness you have to share the truth. Thank you.

Hi Andrew, I don't have a problem with internet but enjoy watching and listening to your demo. If I did move to an area with problems your demo would be very handy to know. Enjoy your videos and Sunday live. Take care. 🌞🇨🇦

I can’t believe how easy your ground rod went in. But looks like mostly sand. Thank you for the info Andrew

Another great video Andrew.👍 Keep in mind all grounded utilities on your home must be bounded to the home's electrical system grounding block, that you installed by the NEC. Code. Such as electric, gas, phone, internet, satellites and etc. Keep up the great work my brother 👍👍

There’s actually another style that is very directional that you could add to these two that will really reach out and grab that signal much better, but these antennas are much easier to point & acquire!

It's one of the first routers that you did a video on. The Cat 12 Cellular router. I tried the one from NetBuddy, bt it was all sold out and has been for awhile. I'll give it a try. Thanx for replying.

I have worked from home out in the country for the last 8 years. Charter is literally .5 miles up the road and they keep telling me in 500 feet too far to run internet. :( I've been through all the ups and downs, plans on AT&T, third party, etc. I finally broke down this year and bought a good Pepwave router. My speeds are somewhere between 7-10 mpbs, which is fine for just me. However, hubby has started working at home in the last month and that ain't gonna work for both of us. I've resisted putting antennas on my house FOREVER (because I already have satellites for Dish, DirecTV, and Hughesnet - 2 of which need to come down). After watching your last few videos and looking into these antennas further, I finally ordered them. I'm excited to see what kind of increase I can get. I'll keep you posted.
