This video showcases the differences between the Casio G Shock and Casio Black Out. If you are looking for a beater watch, I highly recommend this digital inverted display watch from Casio.

This W800h can be done so much better than a g-shock if you can tinker a bit with a (tiny) soldering iron under the magnifying glass. You have to connect the third jumper from the line on the right side of the chip and to disconnect the one jumper on the right shoulder of the chip. That would unlock the hidden countdown timer and the five alarms (the first one with snooze). To make things perfect you can buy a tempered glass screen protector and a nato strap and it will hold you forever. I do preffer though the w800h-1AVES (black numbers on silver screen). Mine resisted to anything I threw at them, hits, scratches, dirt, mud, chemicals, water immersion etc. For the gshock purists out there: this one has, unlike a "normal square" gshock, big easy to reach and push buttons, huge 3-rows visible screen, useful led light, loud audible alarm, dual time zone, full calendar including the year, it shows the time in all the screens, the battery holds for 10 years, 5 alarms instead of one, the strap is extremely comfortable and the watch itself costs peanuts. Can it resist to a truck? It might as well, you wouldn't know, as the wearer won't be able to survive to check the results. Other similarities with the g-shock: they're both Casios, they're both plastic, they look alike inside, they can be used for diving, they are square shaped, they have the same size, they can take a bullbar mod etc. The only real difference from a gshock is: no raised bezel (I couldn't care less).

That negative display is perfect if you just want to wear a watch and telling the time's not important to you.

People saying that f91 or gshock is better dont get the point of this watch. This is the middle watch in between both f91 and gshock. So, if you only need one digital watch and want it to be not too big like a gshock or or too small like an f91 or if you want better water resistant than the f91 and better back light but you dont really want to spend more on a gshock for a 200m water resistant or solar that you dont really need, then the w 800h is that watch. I would recommend to change the strap though. The watch itself looks tough and acrylic although scratchable, is less prone to shatter than sapphire or mineral.

Because of the black on black color scheme and the set-back of the bezel, this thing also responds amazingly to being hydromodded. Gives the screen a pop of color (turning it midnight blue) and increases the readability from all angles.

true, however, the band will break after 1-2 years of wear. good luck replacing it. entry level casios are great but they're not durable. watch case will obviously last long but the band is the weakness. i really love and miss my ae-1200 casio royale but the band broke after 2 years of constant wear so i upgraded to a gw-m5610u. on the long term, it's worth it.

really cool watch, it was my first watch ever, it has a couple flaws though, the acrylic crystal scratches easily, and the band deteriorates in around 2-3 years

The end of the day, as great as this watch is, after a couple years, if you wear it while working on cars, in a workshop, gardening, or camping etc, the screen will be all scratched up and ruined fast. The G-Shock raised bezels give a watch way more versatility.

Regular casio watches are great for casual wear, or wearing at the office, but thats their limit.

So it really depends on your lifestyle. For some people a casio is all you need, for others ( like myself) a G-Shock is required, and well worth the extra money.

Though everyone compare this things with g shock but don't forget this small watches with thin watch straps is not good at all and broke out soon but in case of G-Shock the straps also last longer.

37mm would be tiny on my wrist, i hope there a bigger wider watch from casio which not came from g shock siblings, but there no, only a gshock does that

G-shocks also have a 10 year battery life. So it doesn't have double the battery life at all

This is extremely misleasing. Its not a Gshock, isnt supposed to be as tough or rugged as one, and is not a competitor so shouldnt be compared to one. Completely different class. This should be compared to the Casio royale, which is on par in terms size, dimensions, build, and price.

I can’t hear you for sh!t… turned vol all the up i could but waaaay too much low end on your side. You can edit the video and up the volume.
I could turn the volume on my phone all the way up, but next video will wake up my wife and blow out my speakers lol
