It’s hard for me not to start building my army with 2x infiltrators. They only have to be too much of a pain to shoot while they sit on a home objective.

Boils down to how you want to organize your list, and what chapter you're playing.
It's really hard to go wrong with Infiltrators nowadays, because despite the premium you pay and lackluster shooting/combat, their durability (helix + THP), deepstrike area denial and forward deployment is really fire, and most top SM lists don't take more that 1-2 troops anyway.
I feel like Incursors aren't as hot now that other squads get their extra weapons and gear for free, but they're certainly still very competitive. Extra AP on their melee is nice, but there's not _that_ much they can trade against efficiently in combat anyway, and their shooting is dogpoo, compared with Tacs points-for-points now.
Humble Tactical Squad can be a great option if you park them on a home filed objective with a lascannon and basically use the rest as ablative bodies to protect the heavy weapon, or the sarge with amped up gear for the rest of the game. Above all else, they are _tactical_ AF, compared to the Primaris, and that's what SM should be about.
Regular and Assault Intercessors are more Chapter-dependent than other troops imo. You'll get most vale out of each of individual Chapter's special doctrine, I guess.
Gravis Intercessors are still a meme for me...
