I think the Salamander's are the best chapter in Warhammer 40k. They have amazing lore, cool armor they craft on their own, and give many others reasons to check them out!

Unlike other chapters of Space Marines who keep to themselves the Salamanders live among the people on the planets they are stationed on. They are even encouraged to go spend time with their friends and family outside of the Space Marines. So imagine this big 8-10 foot tall guy going home to visit him mom, and his mom is just doing and spoiling her son.

they aren't the only who fight for humanity, Once the Space wolves and the Grey knights fought to push back a chaos invasion together, after they had repelled the forces of Chaos, The Inquisitory ordered them to execute the people, due to them not wanting the people to tell others about Chaos, The grey knights agreed, being Loyal servants to the Inquisitory, meanwhile, the Space wolves were outraged, they fought for the Emperor and the People, Then the Grey knights and Space wolves clashed.

Space wolves are one of the coolest chapters aswell [MY OPINION!!!NO WAY] Salamanders and Space Wolves both fight to protect the Imperium, not for glory but I dont know about the Wulfen packs since they are feral

2: Ultramarines are also known to be among the most compassionate space marines around
3: Ultramarines are all known for their equipoise in situations where most space marines would go berserk
