14:45 each one is counting up, and the ‘explosion’ is a simplified answer to what that shot of the function entails, as I understand it. It’s more clear the first time it’s shown, but you skipped over that part of the video.

Also! 18:25– it spells “exit”, because he’s asking for a way out. And that white liminal space below the plane of real numbers is the ‘dimension’ where irrationals like ‘e’ are from.

The door represents going to the imaginary plane. So i*e^(i*pi) went through the door because it's an imaginary number.

However, when the man (a "real" number) went into the imaginary plane, it's breaking all maths logic (destroying the plane). So when he multiplied himself by 'i', it made itself a real number again, hence got teleported out.

I think the very beginning of this video is often underrated because we're already used to the idea of math and we started out by deriving it to match the way things relate to each other in the real world. If you don't start out knowing what a numeral is, the simple act of finding an act that causes a succession of new glyphs to appear, seeing that process abruptly switch to producing two symbols one of which we've already seen, hypothesizing and testing to see that "100" is all itself a process of scientific discovery - and you can see from the character switching to adding by 2s and then 20s it was in fact the thought process going on here.

I think the summations had different n values because they represent the amount of ammo they have, so they were shooting each term away

12:38 The summation is using its individual terms as ammunition. It had already used up the terms from 0 to 9, that's why it has n=10 there. You can see the lower bound going up every time it shoots
