Just subbed for this. Paracord is fun and useful but this needs to be seen by so many who think Paracord is the end all be all.

Yeah, right around 550 STATIC load...any dynamic load and it starts getting squirrely. Good 550 has 7 strands of triple-twisted/braided nylon (knockoffs are usually cheaper material and usually 2 twisted strands per) and one of them will have a spiral color strand (different color for different manufacturers).
I would be interested to see if you could reliably rappel wish something like Titan Survivorcord XT (I think it is marketed as 1100cord).
There are also very few kinetic load tests for rappelling with paracord. If you know the right knots and rope mechanics, I bet it could be done. I am not a climber, but I do use winches, so I know you can do some crazy stuff with having a line double back on itself.

Might be worth throwing up a video and be one of the first "550 cord live kinetic load practical testing" videos.

It's called 5 50 pararcord 5meaning 5 millimetres 50 means 50 kgs refers to its breaking strength.
