DIY Budget Pond Build For Under $300!

The one thing that I hardly ever see in an inexpensive pond is an overflow pipe. If you put a pipe straight up in the pond that allows the water to overflow at the ponds water height, then the pond/water will stay self regulated with out chlorine or additives. We had an old concrete pond in our backyard that the water overflowed through the pipe and came out in a lower section of the yard. The rain did all the work. We never messed with the pond water. We added some Gold Fish which reproduced and frogs came and other stuff. Occasionally, we would rake the leaves off the bottom. The Dead Sea is dead because it has no outlet for the water going into it. Sometimes my dad would put the hose in the pond and let the water run for a few minutes to let the water overflow. Water back in the 1970s was cheap. Just a thought.

Great DIY Video for normal people like us. Not like some those Bulishit DIY which only professionals can do. I built mine before watching your video but I still like it. I just dug the pond. Took me 4-5 days as I am doing the entire front yard garden at the same time myself. I used some chicken fence and used metal wire as spike. Now I will pour concrete and will be done.
