I'm not sure when "I didn't know this" became "NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS"

I can confirm this is very true.
My face got somewhat asymmetrical due to an incident.. this made me very self conscious.. I went to a reputable surgeon clinic in Virginia, ready to get cosmetic surgery, but he talked me out of it.. he said I was very young and the asymmetry was minor and could be fixed with fillers.. so he recommended that.. I went for it, got 2 syringes only.. the results were natural and I was happy with.. now this is what the surgeon said to me.. that the filler will dissolve and turn into collagen and most of the volume will remain...
That was almost 10 years ago.. I did not go back for more because after all this time, most of the volume is still there, and it looks natural.. I think the problem is with those who don't know when to stop.

I think the revelation that this filler migrates to other parts of the face rather than dissolve should pretty much end it's use. At least I know I would never get it.

If a doctor says no to a procedure that would bring in thousands of dollars; believe them. The doctors who overfill to the point of disfiguration should lose their license and be jailed.
Surprising to me that most people didn’t know that filler doesn’t 100% go away

Here’s a take … “Just because the FDA approved doesn’t mean you have to approve it for yourself.”

I dont watch this girl but Ive seen her online and she comes off as such a know it all. She knows no more than the average person about anything she just yells the loudest.

Appreciate a doctor putting their ethic first in their practice, it keeps you to have integrity that is key.

I've known this for at least 2-3 years. A radiologist made a similar study long ago and concluded the same thing. I think it was Dr. Youn who did a video on it

Integrity is scarce. I had a small procedure done by a Plastic Surgeon, during the follow-up I said, now I just need to lose 10 lbs (which is HONESTLY, not much since I'm 5'10) The doctor offered Ozempic! Holy moly. 10 lbs and he doesn't say don't eat ice cream, he actually offered to put me on weekly injections.
Never going back to this guy again, obviously $$ motivated.

Something about this woman's voice grates on my nerves so bad. Doctor Linkov's voice is so soothing and nice, and she sounds like a shrill harpy to me.

It’s so frustrating to me how people seem to be only capable of swinging between extremes (either believing everything a person in a lab coat tells them or demonizing the entire medical industry) without spending anytime in the middle (trust but verify).

I’ve been nurse injector for many years and I realized I was potentially doing my patients a disservice, about three years ago. I started to downsize my filler business, and I have eliminated it completely and now educate people about other ways of taking care of their skin and underlying tissues that don’t involve fillers. I have had a few very angry and irate people when I refused to continue to fill them! I just did not feel in good conscience that It was the right thing to continue to do knowing what I know.

Problem is most don’t look younger or even better imo……just look filled and swollen

I have severe acne scars, I have fillers not to enhance my features or change my face shape but just to have volume on the scars. Made a huge different and don’t regret it at all! But i think its important not to over do it

I am 52 years old and I have been thinking about getting filler. I appreciate your honesty. These videos are so helpful.

My friend who had filler many years ago complained that it gave him an autoimmune reaction. He obviously regretted it and stopped. He was a doctor!

At the age of 59, I just started getting a very SMALL amount of filler under the eyes and in the nasolabial area. I am thrilled with the subtle, natural results. My practitioner has a light touch and does not always empty a syringe. Filler can, and is, being used responsibly by a lot of people. There is no doubt that many practitioners over-fill, and many clients go too far.

Just goes to show that if you give someone a microphone, video camera, and a social media platform, and suddenly they can record and post whatever they’re uneducated thoughts are, that other people somehow think they’re experts. That’s why I prefer to watch people like you Dr Linkov! Thanks for educating people with evidence and experience

Edit: lol some ya’ll have too much time on your hands
