Darkseid is Tyranny personified. DOES unfortunately have its uses. particularly in combatting Chaos. the argument that's being made here is he is in addition to being the ultimate tyrant, darkseid is also the ultimate expression of "the guy who gets his hands dirty" becasue when Cthonic chaos pops up wanting to turn everything to gibbering madness or some holier than though entitiy wants to "make averything pure" by means of cosmin anihillation..Darksid makes sure that doens't happen if only because this is HIS turf. If tha'ts left in the hands of the good guys...they also wind up having to deal with the consequenses of compromising thier normal morals...and sooner rather than later, the whole system falls apart. The argument has it's weaknesses of course...but this is macro-level stuff here. there are no easy answers for an individual.
