Hi Kristin! I recently cleaned the grout on my kitchen tile floors using a spray of water, baking soda and another spray. I let it sit for 15 minutes and using a battery operated cleaning tool, my floors look like new! Thanks for sharing all of these hints!

Vinegar also works in the washing for getting musty smells away. I didn't know that it worked on plants so I'll try that. Thanks Kristin 😊

I wouldn't have thought of the bug repellent one, but that is really quick and easy and actually makes sense now that I think about it. Thank you so much for sharing all of these!

We use a baking soda/water paste and a piece of nylon mesh netting (Dollar Tree shower area) to remove bugs from the front of our cars. We have done this for over 15 years on every car in our family. It does a great job and does not harm your paint. Thank you for all the tips! The insect trick I will definitely try on my porch

I mix equal parts baking soda with plain old cheap salt in a qt jar. Voila, great sink scrubbing powder. Baking soda, vinegar, isopropyl alcohol all make great natural cleansers. BTW, the water and baking soda mix for plants is a great anti-fungal agent. I use it on my garden.

Great video Kristin. Baking soda is fantastic isn’t it. Cleaning my sink with it is my favourite thing to do. Also add it to white bedding for sparkling white sheets x

Helps with stinky shoes. Sprinkle liberally and allow to rest overnight. Dump in the trash in the morning. You can also use it to freshen teapots and coffee pots. Removes coffee stains from cups. I make a paste of Baking soda and dish soap to get the tomato stain out of plastic. I rinse out my stainless tumblers (not dishwasher safe) and their straws in. On a more personal note helps with personal hygiene odors. A soak in a warm bath with a cup of baking soda makes me feel fresh.

I use washing soda in my laundry. We have city water, but it does have some hardness to it, and so I use a combination of washing soda and borax in my laundry, particularly with my husband's stinky work clothes.

I just remembered my Mom used to put mayonnaise on her philodendron leaves, I think to make them shiny, but it seems like it would get gross quick.

I love all your cleaning tips with the baking soda. I just want to let you know when cleaning your makeup brushes don't dispersed the whole whole thing in the water because it will cause the glue to loosen and your brushes will fall apart. I learned this through experience.

I put open Cups of b’soda in the fridge and freezer for funky smells!! Then use it w/ vinegar down my sink drains ... followed by a teakettle of boiling water. Cleans up the drain and it smells great!!and refresh the fridge w/ new B’soda in the fridge!!

I mix half & half the Carpet Fresh.... to new it smells strong... I use my canister vacuum as opposed to the one w/ the HEPA filter. I’m afraid it will clog it?? Do any others experience that??

To wash my cosmetic brushes I use J& J baby shampoo or Dawn.. I press on the palm of my opposite hand to work out the blush & makeup
Out of them. I rinse well but NEVER stand them in a cup w/ the bristles up. That’s a sure way to ruin them! It collects all the water & softens the glue used to affix to the bands & handles. I get a wash cloth and blot all the bristles part and then shape and let them dry overnight laid out like you did. It cut down in skin breakouts!! Can you imagine all the gunk you are rubbing all over your face.. sebum & powder.. or blush or eye shadow.. YUK!!

I heard to add a bit of soda to window washing water. It will facilitate a smooth drying of the window panes?? I have to try it!!

Happy cleaning!!

If I’m a bit anxious or sweaty in the summer, I use baby cornstarch sprinkled on my sheets and in my pillowcases. Makes me chill and “sleep like a baby!”

Take care....
