It’s not just that they’re taking jobs Americans don’t want. Plenty of people want the jobs they do, but you can pay an illegal immigrant much less than you can pay an American so people will hire them first

They are increasing the number of job applicants and lowering wages by accepting less money. They also send much of their earnings back to their family in their country. That's a drain on our economy.

They do take jobs that American teenagers used to do. They also work for lower wages.

One of my dads friends, mind you my dad is 67 so this guy was about the same age and this was about 15-17 years ago worked for the phone company. My dads friend was training a new employee who didnt speak English and he would constantly complain about it because of the language issue. Training this guy was so hard because he had zero experience in the field etc. It turns out that the guy he was training was his replacement. They got rid of my dad's friend who worked for the company for 35 year's and was not in any way shape pr form ready to retire, he absolutely needed to work. The problem was because of his age, over 50 he couldnt find work that paid the equivalent to what he was making before and he lost his house and his daughter had to find another way to go to college because they couldn't pay anymore. It was so so sad to hear.

As an American that works in the trades and grew up doing labor, they absolutely take jobs from Americans that want and need them. Most of them are hardworking, and know what they’re doing, but they’re criminals that shouldn’t be in this country.

It's good for the company, but in my field of construction it most certainly hurts.
