Fabulous video :) I love this orchid so much. Each time I see them in the store I stop and check it out. These pseudo bulbs are so cool aren't they :).

Maria, I've never had a coconut orchid. I didn't realize they looked like that. How have they done since the repot?  Love that basket and the way it looks after the repot.

Maria, Maria Maria... My big girl Maxillaria did a total 360°. Remember the photo I sent you back in the summer months. She was in health condition in her new pot and well, now I have 3 divisions in a 4" pot. She developed a mold fungi problem. I repotted it and disinfectant her and the pot. After a few weeks the foliage started dropping off the the bulbs were turning blackish brown. I'm in total shock rite now. The only thing that I say is WTF happen! I was thinking that it was so massive amount of bulbs that it didn't get any air flow. Only time will tell if I can safely save her.

Hi Maria, my name is Sylvia & I first want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed your video!
I am fairly new to the world of orchids & so I'm learning as I go here. I have about 9 phalaenopsis & I've grown quite comfortable with them & how to care or them....but I just received my first Coconut Maxillaria Tenuifolia through the mail. I arrive today in a very small standard type plastic pot, loosely filled with spagnum moss. The moss & the roots were completely bone dry, they looked no where near as healthy as the ones in your video! I am naturally worried that it might not make it! I will follow your instructions in this video & pray that I can save this poor plant. Do you think that, when I repot it into a more permanent pot, that I should remove all of the dried up roots? Absolutely none of them look viable!
Maria, any tips further tips that you may be able to offer would be so greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much & I will be looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials in the future!
Love, Sylvia ❤💞

Hi Maria! Greeting from Cape Coral! I have a coco that I picked up at a flea market. His (yes, I named him Max...LOL) have shriveled up, and I am wondering if my potting media is too wet? It feels very moist all the time. It doesn't seem to be otherwise effected. The potting media seems to be mostly sphagnum. I have another I puchased from Redlands last month, and it seems fine. For safety sake, I have it set away from my collection. Any advice?

I have a couple of coconut orchids that I received as gifts in my yard here in Florida. They're my easiest orchids to care for. They require more light than most popular orchids and enjoy being kept moist . I don't really love the look of the flowers or the plant for that matter but the fragrance is nice
