I must admit that the 'definitive' edition does have a single positive thing about it: it gave me a new sense of admiration for those old classics. I always loved those games, but never realised just how much craftsmanship went into them until the 'definitive' edition got released.

When i heard about the definitive edition, I was looking forward to buying it. I never got to play GTA 3, and I never finished Vice City and San Andreas. This definitive edition was supposed to be an amazing Christmas present for myself.

After everything that's happened, there's no way in hell I'm buying it. I am never going to reward a company for creating bad product.

You can literally see and feel how much effort, love and care went into the original title.
It was a commercial product, yes, but it was driven by the will and lust to create.
2001 and we have leaves and newspapers being lifted by passing cars.

It's that kind of detail that made these games feel like a real world and famous around the world.
Sadly the new DEFECTIVE versions portray what the gaming industry has become nowadays - Lazy, cheap, all bling bling and shine but nothing to show for.

This just proves how good of a game development company Rockstar was. Rockstar gave grove street games their assets and everything and they still messed it up. You can imagine how bad the game would be if they weren’t copying from an old game. The worst part is Rockstar approved this garbage product so Rockstar themselves have changed. They were ok with some low budget studio butchering one of the most iconic games in the franchise. They don’t care because they know people will still buy the game. The passion for art is gone.

It's hard to believe that a game that came out 20 years ago looks and plays better than a game that came out last week. Just insane.

Can we agree about Claude took 20 years in the defective édition ? In the OG he looks a bit younger (around 20-25 YO instead of is 30) and we can imagine him like a beautiful man but in defective, let's be honest, he looks like a 40 YO man full of dr*gs. He seriously looks scarier than Trevor.
