It all starts in Liberty City.

Originally released on October 22, 2001, Grand Theft Auto III first pioneered our approach to building highly immersive and detailed, fully 3D open worlds, delivering unprecedented freedom and nonlinear gameplay combined with rich, cinematic storytelling, alongside the series’ now signature radio stations, each with a thoughtfully curated playlist and DJ host to match.

Remove the San Andreas Sound Effects from the menu, it’s just weird.

I loved how halo the masterchief collection allowed you to switch between the old and new graphics with the push of a button. I wish more remasters would do the same

When you think of Rockstar Games, you think of quality content. When you think of GTA, you think of the best game ever made. It's a best-selling game that broke a lot of records and R* deserved it.... But that was almost 10 years ago. The mindset has changed a lot and the result can be seen today in GTA: The Trilogy: Definitive Edition. The goal of this remaster was to bring the classic titles to modern consoles and allow new players to enjoy the game as we did 20 years ago. But only in theory. What you get is actually not what you would expect from a GTA game, but the complete opposite. The graphics of the game seem new and beautiful for the first few minutes, but then you realize that the game hasn't been maintained at all. It's like "let's use Unreal because it has nice graphics, and just slap it on GTA III/VC/San Andreas" that's it. Sure, you can't just use a completely different engine, that requires some work.. Right? No, that's excatly how it looks like. All 3 games have the same bugs that you'd find in the original version of GTA. The remaster also introduced a lot of new bugs that just ruin the gameplay. The controls are really weird (especially in VC where it feels like you're playing the game on Stadia, Nvidia NOW, etc, but with a really bad internet connection). Some of the new textures are simply taken from GTA V, you can now see billboards with GTA: Online characters on them. A widescreen TV from the mid-2000s can now be found in GTA VC in Diaz mansion (the game is set in 1986).

And much more. That's just the tip of the iceberg, there's a lot more to tell, but I think most of it can easily be found on social media.

Would I recommend anyone to buy this game? No! If you really want to enjoy classic GTAs: find a PS2 and a copy of GTA Trilogy and enjoy the real masterpiece that R* created back in the good old days.

Has the rockstar team got rid of all of its gifted talent ?? I've never been disappointed by rockstar until these releases, the performance issues are actually a joke. Rockstar have always been the best but these remasters are a let down

the game is full of bugs, and the price of it is not worth it.

The one that has changed the most for sure, but I think the most beautiful is San Andreas.

The graphics are good in places, other places are a mess. The best part of it is the nostalgia which I could of got by playing the original. The game crashes every 20 minutes or so and it has also caused my PS5 to crash totally on several occasions causing it to have to “repair” itself.
The bugs are terrible, even worse than the original.
Feet goes through the cars, cars set themselves on fire for no reason, cars get stuck in garage, invisible walls in places where there shouldn’t be walls, a mission where you have protect a van until it arrives at its destination, the van just crashes into a wall and doesn’t move (happened several times) another mission where you have to hit documents out of a car, the car just crashes into the water without anything hitting it first which causes a mission failed . They have had 20 years to get this game right and they still haven’t.
They might have made it look pretty but the gameplay is what’s important and with the mess that it’s in right now, it’s not worth your time, money or your patience.

Come on, Rockstar! We're waiting for GTA VI, not a remaster of GTA III.

When you realize that you can finally aim in third person with the m4 and move the camera around without being in first person and set way points rockstar has officially made history people

Can we all agree this is how we've seen the game in our childhoods?

Also show some messed up character models, rainfall that looks like a 10 year old developed it..show how bad the controls are, also show how you used same sounds for all the in game menus. This is nothing but a scam. Rockstar is deadd for me.

The less blurry, smoother movement is great. A change from the PS2 original, but a welcome one.
