Also 3 on IV's engine is how R* should've remastered the game.

I remember when we were kids I was saying how cool it would be play GTA on your cell phone, as smartphones didn't exist yet. Years later they announced GTA 3 mobile and I had my HTC evo 3d it felt like I predicted the future sort of, but even if mobile isn't as good it's still quite a technological feat at the time.

Also thanks for playing all the versions of different GTA's and showing us the most important differences between them, some of them I didn't know.

Yea gta 3 beta looked slightly better than the final version but the rhino in beta looked more like an APC or tank destroyer

To be honest let's say gta DE looks better in all versions despite of bugs the white lods of rage version look ridiculous if devs put more effort in gta DE it would be best

IMO DE is the best. I experienced no bugs, and the content didn't matter much to me. I was feeling the same ten years old feeling of playing GTA 3 on ps2 while having the addition of a new touch - smooth experience and better graphics.
The grass looks the best.
Roads have details.
Cars have reflections
And the neon lights give a much more lively and ecstatic vibe.
Granted the characters looks more cartoonish now- that's the one downgrade for me. Rest are A-OK. Though I wish R* improved the logic and physics. Like letting us swim and more physical ragdolls and stuff. Atleast a GTA SA level physics but nvm still THE BEST Grand Theft Auto 3 experiences of my life.

The old version of GTA lll was far more brutal because you could shoot limbs off people. Too bad they changed it in the other editions because of the graphic violence this game has. Probably one of the most controversial games in history.

Im definetly gonna pick the rage engine in gta 3 I feel like rockstar needs to add this engine for vice city and san andreas its better than that awful definitive edition which has bugs and glitches
