Smoothie (meal 1 - 50 grams protein)

This is typically my first meal of the day, and it really is a meal! It packs about 50 grams of protein, and has all the carbs and micro-nutrients to start the day right. I'll drink this within 30 minutes of waking up in each morning. Keeps me going well until the next meal, which is the fist "solid" meal of the day.

Banana: 1 medium (2 if your goal is to put on more weight)
Blueberries: about a cup
Aloe vera juice: about a cup (or 8 ounces)
Protein powder: enough to provide 30-50 grams protein (depending on your goals)
Greens powder: recommended serving
Flax seed: 20 grams (fiber and essential fatty acids)
Ginger root: about 4-8 grams (depending on how you tolerate fresh ginger)
