IMO all the work ended after the Pelicans gm. RJ became the closer and the next gm RJ was ignored down the stretch and didn't get touches after the 1st qt. Julius didn't celebrate the Pelicans win and played disinterested the next gm at the Garden. For me, the team imploded right there. The issues guys have with each other need to be addressed because there is obvious turmoil. These guys are too good to be playing this poorly. And Thibs needs to be a better leader. He hit the panic button at the wrong time. Like he did in the post season, putting an ice cold Frank on Trae Young and then not emphasizing forcing him left.

Instead of seeing RJs growth after the Pelicans gm he continued to cater to Julius and force feed Evan. No one looks for Mitch. Taj Gibson get more touches than RJ. The insecurities of Julius Randle and Thibs are infecting the team.

I've been telling all these RJ apologists, RJ ain't all that. For where he as drafted, he should be much better than he is. He's not that gifted a athlete to where he don't continue to work on his craft. Thibs just confirmed it. I don't understand the ripping of hte coach on this blog. we are 11-12. WHAT record should we have? I think we are vastly over rating our talent. we should continue on improving our players. if there is one gripe I have, it's the regression on young guys like mitch and rj.

Either Julius Randle or RJ come off the bench but they shouldn’t be on the floor at the same time. I think both of them being left handed shooters isn’t good for any offensive flow. Another thing Julie Randle has become Melo 2.0 and he’s nowhere as good as Melo but he definitely stops the ball from moving.

This guy is something special he is ripping the work ethic of rj Barrett to the media instead of keeping that in the locker room. How Abt tom holding himself accountable for his predictable half court offense, terrible in game adjustments, terrible rotations according to the flow of the game. Not holding vets accountable but being rough on the young guys. Playing randle, Evan and rose most of the 4th yesterday when they played like pure trash for most of the game. I do not like this guy. Now he throwing players under the bus and putting out team concerns to the media. Disgusting

I'm soo happy you guys replayed this interview. Fans have this somewhat false perception that RJ is in the gym everyday working on his shot. If he did he wouldn't be shooting 40% from the field. He has the talent to be great but he needs to put in the work everyday.
