Julius was an efficient post player before he became a knick. He barely took jumpshots & was a 20 & 10 player for 2 years in a row before he got to the Knicks .

The issue is lack of spacing in new york.. He always had a decent point guard & a center who could at least make a 15 foot jumper.. When he finally got to play with Brook Lopez .. That's when his game really elevated. He had all the room to work.

But on the Knicks, there was no PG, Mitch isn't a threat outside of 3 ft .. RJ was up & down with shooting. It made it so easy these last 3 years for defenses to cram the paint on Julius.

What positioning is he suppose to get when the help defense comes swarming over in a hurry from the poor Knicks spacing.

The more spacing you have, help defenders have to travel a longer distance to help.
