📍Should you stay in Hotels, hostels, or strangers homes? Where should you stay when you travel? Hotels are great if you travel with someone or a group of people. Its the most expensive way, and there are incredibly beautiful hotels all over the world if you have the money. But i find hotels to he the most lonely.
📌I prefer hostels, now a days some hostels are just as nice as hotels, they have beautiful bars, pools, amenities and for a fraction of the price. Most hostels are around 10-30 a night. In hostels there are activities planned every hour of the day so you can meet so many people which makes it the most fun way to travel especially if you are alone. You can go on group tours during the day and then bar hop all night. Ive met incredible people in hostels, you guys know who you are! If you don’t like sleeping with a group of strangers. You can book a private room in a hostel and get the best of both. Privacy and company.
For long term stays a private room in a hostel or airbnb can be a little more comfortable and affordable.
📌The last way is strangers homes, this is for the people who want to practice new languages and step into a different lifestyle with local people. With workaway you live with a local family or business who houses and feeds you in trade for a couple hours of work each day. Theres farms, baby sitting, house cleaning, companionship every type of experience you can imagine. Im currently helping out a small horse farm in arizona and i stayed on a family banana farm in the mountains of colombia. Amazing, whats your preferred place to stay when you travel?
