How to View and Monitor the Open Network Ports on Your Computer

If you are a network admin or tend to connect to many different websites, online services or other devices on the network etc., you may want to know what sites and services are using open network ports on your computer. Sure you can use the old netstat command or you can check out the free CurrPorts (Current Ports) app from NirSoft that will allow you to view and monitor your open ports as well as export them as a report and log any new activity. You can also filter what types of ports you want to monitor and kill active connections\processes with a simple right click.
