The de pressure protocol is also part of the processing timing. It is not expressly stated in the recipe but it is part of the safety of a tested recipe.

yum boy does that look good :) Here in the states ground beef is usually 70-30, most fat content, ground chuck is usually 80-20 or 85-15, medium fat content, and ground sirloin is 90-10 or 93-7, very lean. I tend to use 80-20 because it is flavorful but not overly greasy.

You got that set done quickly. Your just like me. Ya stay up all night working on this stuff.😂yeah the internal pressure of the jar is same as the inside of the cooker if it depressurizes too quickly the contents of the jar want to escape. I’ve always wanted to fill a pressure cooker with gasoline and stick it in a microwave 🤣like the not busy thing. That’s why I don’t have down time...😂nice work, can let em cool on the shelf even.wonder what would happen if you canned a light bulb. Nice round. I see minestrone in the future.😃🍺🤙

Just got my pressure canner in the mail today going to try doing this tomorrow. We will see what happens. I've ordered bath can for years that I've never tried this.

Interesting as im not used to the pressure canner. Yes hamberger soup with green beans is good.

Thanks for sharing. Lots of ways to use that hamburger. As has been mentioned, hamburger soup and spaghetti sauce. Combine with egg noodles or pasta, use in a meat pot pie recipe or any other recipe that uses cooked hamburger.

Hi Shawn, looks like your beef canning turned out great!! Gotta ask ya a question though, do you drain the fat into the sink or into something else. Pouring grease down the sink is a no no, you can end up clogging your pipes as the fat congeals and sets clogging your pipes!!

also your mustard looks like it is in 1/2 pint jars so that would be 1 cup US :)
