My refine edge tool does not work at all! It would deselect areas I had already selected. How do I fix that?

I have CC2015.5 with the refine and mask but it doesn't work as well as what the video shows.Are there any particular settings to adjust?

You guys should really add the on "what ever color you choose" option. Usually i feel much more comfortable masking on 255 green (naturally)
Black and white is on most photos and easily blends with the background, it's not like your photo you want to mask is either white or black.

Surprised you never thought about it.

It dosent work. When I clicked Load selection and ok, the whole photo was selected. Do u have any other ideas to recover ?

I was disappointed she didn't show the outlined image on a black and also a white background. I was curious to see how good the mask turned out. Does anyone know where to find a copy of this image?
