Howard: Thank you for sharing this newly tweaked feature. Until now, I've tended to have meager success in these kinds of projects. Love your tutorials. Your comments are short & sweet. Superfluous language is kept to a minimum while you remain focused on the task at hand. Time with you is time well spent -- keep up the awesome work!

Nice Tut. I haven't tried it yet. But I will feel comfortable doing so now that I have seen this. Thanks.

Thank you. You go directly to the point without bla bla bla to introduce the tutorial. I really like your tutorial but I can't say the same for changes in this tool on Photoshop.

Masking is a big part of photoshop in general I'm happy that they finally update it.

I love when you showcase all the new updates, it really helps me stay on top of what's new. In fact I just used the liquify faces filter you showed previously. If I hadn't seen you use it I wouldn't have known it was there. Select and Mask was a more obvious change as refine edge was missing. But thanks for the info, I stilled learned a few new tricks even for this new mode.

This helped way more than anything else I could find online about the select and mask on the new cs6

Nice video Howard,
All my test files which used to work perfectly with the previous "Refine Edge" are having awful results with the new "Select and Mask".
I came to the youtube hoping to see if others are achieving better results but apparently even in your tutorial you weren't able to select fine hair bits as we used before!

I wish I had watched this morning. I made some mistakes. But at least now I know how to correct it. Great video.

I absolutely hate it. It's less accurate. I have 375 green screen images to edit that I took before this change. The decontaminate colors is leaving color mud along the edges. How did this pass? It was perfect. You can no longer adjust the level of decontaminate colors. Any way I can go back to the previous version?

I did exactly what you had explain, but it doesn't work like refine edge at all ;(, I just made mess with the hair in my image.
