When you take a look at Joaquin Phoenix's performance as Arthur Fleck, it has to be up there as one of the best interpretations of the Joker character ever. And for that reason, I had to make a video on it!

Hope y'all enjoy and don't forget to leave a like and sub! Thanks everyone.

Joaquin is something else bro. Calling him just an actor would be an insult. He's one of the best to ever do it.

I can't help but think the fact about dying on the sidewalk at 4:40 is related to River Phoenix, the cracking in his voice as he says it breaks my heart

This wasn't a movie/character meant to start a franchise off of. As much as I'd love to see more of his character, it just wouldn't work in a Batman movie. I think this movie was something more than that. It was a message, portrayed by one of the best comic villains in history. It was executed extremely artistically, and the end result was very profound.

“Doesn’t do Easter eggs” proceeds to make an Easter egg reference to a previous movie with the joker in it

as somebody who is mentally ill and has been in the mental health system my whole life sadly i have to say that jokers depiction of it is one hundred percent accurate. the powers at be that decide where the funding goes dont care about the therapist and they dont care about the patients at all.

IMO that scene when he meets a young Bruce Wayne honestly goes down as one of if not the best Batman scenes ever. If only either of them knew at the time how much their lives would cross paths in the future

Love this movie, it so depicts realities of the 70s and 80s

I don't believe that this is the origin story of the The Joker. The age difference between Bruce and Fleck is just too large of a gap. I think that Fleck was indeed an inspiration for who would eventually become The Joker.

I would imagine someone has already said this but I didn't see it mentioned, might have missed it...but M. Night's "Unbreakable" is the first movie that consists entirely of what is typically the first act in a superhero movie, the origin. The whole movie is an origin story and is still one of the best "superhero" flicks ever made, in my opinion, even though it wasn't based on an existing comic. And what's really great is that it's not only the origin story of the hero but also his nemesis. Good schtuff. (good video, by the way)

The director says he hates Easter eggs and doesn't do them yet the Ethan Chase character was an Easter egg. So is the blue boy painting

The right hand/left hand thing actually has a tie to the Batman comic books. One issue had Batman and Robin signing autographs. A friend mentioned to Robin that a criminal could use their signatures to compare handwriting and figure out who they were. Robin said that would be impossible because, while Batman and Robin are right handed, they always sign autographs left handed so the letters will be different in style.

What a great movie. Very real. Very relatable.

This film went out of the comic book world into reality. The way the world is in reality and they formed the joker into it. It was heart breaking and relatable. You could feel this guy's pain and understood why, couldn't blame him, for becoming what he became. He was missing his soul - it got filthy.

"The Joker" is not normally the type of movie I watch, but I've seen it and thought it was outstandingly good.

I have heard of the serial killer, John Wayne Gacy, but I never studied him in detail. NEVER would I have thought there was a similarity in my favourite film. Pogo the Clown (John Wayne Gacy), Pogo's Comedy Club, HIS MAKE UP IS SO UNCANNY TO POGO OMG

Imo it's the best super hero movie since Dark Knight. No easter eggs, overuse of CGI, or nonstop action. I get it, everyone has their own taste, it just did so much for me as a movie. I hope the sequel is as great.
