You can put the can in the sink and fill up the sink with hot water and leave it you might have to do it a couple of times but it works I learned it like 50 years ago from my uncle...

Typical propellant for airsol cans is liquid butane.
The can's pressure can vary a lot with temperature.
At room temperature (25°C) it typically sits at 90PSI and as you start spraying it will drop in temperature AND pressure.
The cans sould be able to withstand 50°C which can bring the gas to max 200PSI but it is not safe to store the can at that temperature.
The SAFE ZONE is around 100-120PSI at 25°C.

Note: As you force compressed air inside, the can will heat up for the same reasons above.

WD40 is a any where from 95 psi to 115 psi. I think 140 is on the high side, especially if you leave the can out side in the heat, or direct sun light. I would rather err on the side of caution

Air isn't a very good choice as a propellant, especially if the can contents are subject to oxydizing or drying. Some sort of inert gas, such as dry nitrogen or carbon dioxide would be better. if the product is paint or other petroleum solvent-based material, a propellant such as, butane or propane may work well, too. The problem is, butane and propane are flammable and you wouldn't want to get them into the eyes. A refilling tool would have to press the adapter against the aerosol can with enough force to overcome the gas pressure and keep it from squirting out the sides. One possibility is to have a male adapter that fits into the hole where the nozzle goes such that the tube seals against the o-ring the same way that the nozzle stem does. I'm aware of at least a couple of different stem sizes, so an adapter for each size would be needed. Other cans have a stubby tube that sticks up, and for those one would need a female adapter with an internal o-ring. There may be more than one size of those, too. All said and done, it may not be worth the expense and effort.

Feb 7, 2022 — Aerosol cans are typically 20 degrees C (68 degrees F) with their maximum pressure usually standing at 10 bar (141.5 psi). By way of comparison, ..

I'm so used to these hacks not working so well. Got lucky and had a rubber valve stem laying around and it worked like a charm! Thankyou!

Ridiculous! During the past year I have thrown away half used WD40, Pledge, window cleaner, spray starch, and today my Ocean Nasal Mist. What is going on? I should not have to own a workman's studio to use my expensive products!

I asked Google, I found about 141 psi or 10 bar

But can he is doing, is the pray paint aerosol can type. Those have an inner valve and are harder to fill. I refill the ones that comes with a white pin, as part of the spray valve. Spray paint style can.. has the little pin on the actual spray cap.

Usually these cans hold 90 to 105 psi max

I think this is a little bit dangerous. Try this first, submerge the can to hot water for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Got a refillable spray paint can ( jacquard is the brand) and it says not to exceed 100 psi I would guess close to that but not 100% sure

140 PSI sounds horrible. A truck tire has 120 PSI inside

Quick question. How do you repair the rubber seal on a paint can. Its puffed up a little probably due to high heat

Is there anything to restore it. My cans are full of paint and i just noticed some were either dried up and cracked of pushed out sks dk.

Yup, I have crushed a can or two in haste - just to get the job done. Great tip and video.
