Reasonably excited for this. Born 77 so Aliens was my second R film after Untouchables. Alien is the best film but Aliens is the crowd pleaser. Seen it the most of any movie period. I think the true tell of whether this will be intelligent, thoughtful, engaging storytelling is run time. Please be a solid 120 minutes. Develop the characters some and build the world around them.

You’re wrong brother, the Darker looking corridors parts like in Alien is called Remus and the newer part of the ship which resembles the Aliens esthetic is called Romulus

I love going into an Alien or Predator film as the music and ambiance bring you into the universe. It's like proper escaping reality and getting thrown into a new world. Love it.

I like the idea of a bunch of young colonists born and raised on some colony looking for a better life, I imagine it’s a one way trip for the majority and if you want off world you have to get creative.

Also the android could be a weyland sleeper. Soon as the xenomorph is spotted, it switches to the ‘crew expendable’ directive.

The audiobooks already tied the movie in. This is a dangerous game. I believe they are trying to visualize the audiobook series. We do know that ash and weyland Yutani new about Plagiarus praepotens before the Nostromo took off in the first film so being set on a new planet isn't far off. We don't know what weyland knew about the Xenomorph at this point. If this is 20 years after the nostromo then ripley is still being controlled by ash's AI and will be another 17 years before she is redirected to the Marion. Just throwing this out there could that not be a black hole in which case this is a testing lab in darkest space similar to that of Alien the Cold Forge book??
