I would bet the aliens could be defeated with baking powder/soda. If their blood is acidic exposure should be very unpleasant for them.

I noticed that the alien has a scar on its dome in the last shot. I think the meteorite we see is actually not a meteorite but a cocoon with the alien inside. The alien from the first movie probably survived being blasted into space and was left with a burn scar from the thrusters. Then it cocooned itself. After many years it was picked up by the Renaissance station.

7:15 I’d guess that’s the original Xenomorph from Alien being recovered by Weyland Yutani. I liked the red light scan which reminded me of the technology in Prometheus, Fifield’s “pups”, which built up the schematics of the Engineer ship. Look’s like it has cocooned itself.

One thing i didnt miss is the entire cast look like they are straight out of a show on the CW

According to newly released rumours, the story starts with a spaceship discovering the remains
of the first xenomorph from the alien movie.They bring it to the nearest spacestation and extract it
for eggs which creates the facehuggers.Then the whole spacestation gets infected and all the humans
dies, and leaves a big xenomorph hive behind.
When contact is lost with the other spacestations.A spaceship is sendt to investigate.
Then a battle breaks out, and only one off the investigators manage to escape.
Or did she? In the end we see that she also is infected and she sets the escapepod to self construct, but
before that happens, the escape pod lands on a unknown planet with small humanlike beings, but with blue skin.
And that makes a cliffhanger for a follow-up movie ?

In space, no one can hear you… Alien Romulus. I love Fede Alvarez so I’m very interested. I don’t see anything silly here. I see claustrophobic, body horror. it’s really going to be up to the actors whether or not this turns out to be good, but I’m holding out hope.

This is literally a member-berry trailer. The setting is also puzzling, it will have no consequences on anything in the Alien timeline. I hope the movie is more than this trailer leads to believe.

Is the show "raised by wolves" apart of the alien universe?

I don't think this movie mirrors the first Alien as closely as you say. I'd say it's the movie "Aliens" but with the same setting as "Alien". Literally any movie with more than 1 alien is significantly unlike the first Alien movie.

Anyone else notice in the near last shot that someone is floating through space and basically there is alien blood all strung out in space that they are about to float into

My personal theory, is that the few scenes we see of the xenomorph head rising, the hand unfurling, and the shot of the head splitting are apart of the same sequence. My first impression immediately goes to a bit of lore from the AVP game in which Specimen 6 is able to molt into a Queen. Granted, it’s not likely that is what’s happening in the last shot, but it seems as though a xenomorph is molting in some form and that last shot is the dome tearing through the old outer layer. Maybe the Big Chap is going to play a bigger role in this film and be reminiscent of the character from the AVP game?

How come no one is talking about an Alien prequel TV series being made by 20th Century Fox, sais release 2025? First heard of it noticing on Timothy Olyphant's Wiki page as "Alien" 2025 release, .. in production. Olyphant (Deadwood) is an exceptional actor who takes on successful scripts and projects, so that's a positive. If he's invovled, there's hope it might be good! "Alien is an upcoming science fiction horror television series written and directed by Noah Hawley, based on the Alien franchise. The series will serve as a prequel and will be set three decades before the events of the 1979 film Alien.[1] It stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav. The series is a joint-venture production between 20th Television and Scott Free Productions, and will be released on FX on Hulu."

I hope they connect this movie to Alien Isolation, we don't know how the aliens got there, this could be the connection and the final is their escaping for Sevastopol giving a better explanation for Isolation.
