Alien: Romulus is a 2024 movie directed by Fede Alvarez and produced by Ridley Scott that brings the xenomorph back in a prequel and sequel film set in-between part 1 and Aliens from James Cameron. This science fiction horror movie seems to be taking cues from the Isolation game but it may be more of an old school slasher movie.

I can’t lie to you about the chances of this movie, but… you have my sympathies

Well this trailer certainly seems a lot more promising than the one for The Crow

I'm cautiously optimistic. Give it chance before I judge . It worked for Prey so we'll see!

As someone who's afraid of spiders, a horde of Facehuggers is like my worst nightmare, since they're pretty much spiders with tails.

Either way, this looks great and I hope it's great.

One part of the ship is retro tech like Alien 1 while the other side is more current, advanced tech like Aliens. So it’s pretty dope! A majorly of the movie takes places on Romulus the ship

I feel everyone has forgotten the franchise is called ALIEN, not Ripley. If the series can't move past her it is doomed.

I was never a fan of the prequel movies, but after hearing that this films set between the first and second film ( Aliens is my favorite film in the franchise), I’m a little excited for this.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I could use a good SF action horror movie. Actually good ones seem to be thin on the ground lately.

I'm not optimistic, but I'm also a sucker for this franchise so I'm going to see it

I thought the horde of facehuggers chasing those people was a stand out moment in the trailer for me. Very creepy. Reminds me of the bug pit scene in Peter Jackson’s King Kong, just being surrounded by creepy crawlies and the feeling of helplessness that was captured in that scene. It’s creepy and disturbing. We’ve never seen a horde of facehuggers chase people before. We’ve seen up to two at most in a scene like this. But seeing a whole group of them takes the scariness of those things up to a whole new level.

This is the tone I’d love for a back to basic JP movie. Give Fede a shot

My favorite part about the teaser is they got the aesthetics right. they got the corridors the lighting and the retro walls with the bumper look. They have the music right as well from the teaser so far. little discouraged on the CGI, but maybe it will be a good mix of that and practical effects. I am excited because its another Alien movie, and Alien, Aliens, and Aliens 3 are my favorite. I love what they are doing. They are going back to the what made the first 3 movies good to me, I cannot wait for the actual trailer and movie I am deeply excited for this film.

I love the touch of the prometheus theme I hear ...love it...
I am a fan of the prequels also..
The alien that was ejected at the end of part 1 is found years before this film begins....
Experiments are conducted and the results are going to be the movie.

Off topic question, why isn't there a Transformers and Star Wars crossover comic book or movie?

I wish we got a sequel to alien isolation. That first game is perfect. Even a movie sequel would make me happy.
