TikTok is just the best place to get the worst possible information

I really love training everyday and it's not like you won't see any gainz

Going to failure? Nah man, I go beyond it

I agree with you Man. High frequency, medium to high intensity, low volume.

Recovery is more about smart programming, quality sleep, and good food than it is days off
Even Westside Barbell having 300lb monsters doing max effort method 600-1000lb lifts every week still did GPP and sled work sessions on off days

I just train Push Pull Rest Legs in a cycle, I train hard but not to failure on everything. Don’t overcomplicate just lift a little heavy with good form.

I leave a rep or 2 in the tank as a general rule these days. Seem to be making better progress than I have ever before, and most of all I don't have to deal with the constant fatigue that affects my quality of life that I used to get.

I've seen constructions dudes that literally don't ever take a day off from training, train for 2-3 hours a day with a combo of strongman, powerlifting, and calisthenics. They still manage to eat enough to gain weight. Your body can handle a lot more than you think. Its all about building up to it too, you cant go straight from doing nothing to 7 days a week. Literally just go check out IronLoo, especially back in his older videos, this is exactly what he does.

higher frequency works better for me. I saw a decrease in strength when I went from lifting 5 days / week to 3 days / week. 3 days / week will have to do for now due irl stuff. But in the ideal scenario, i would like to do 5 days / week again.

Since retiring 2 yrs ago l have been lifting everyday, have to do a little juggling to stay ahead of burnout, never plan to train to failure, am always going to leave something in the tank. 13th.

As usual, TikTok is killing your gains.

Just use a squat plug with higher frequency

Idk bro .
I know you know your stuff, but I really benefited from more recovery .
But hey, off topic . Can you make a video on greasing the groove technique ?

Agree but the video ur referencing is talking about a style of training were you purposefully train to failure quite often. You’re style of training with high frequency only works when you don’t train to failure(or at least not to the same extent)

I dont go everyday because my body is usually fucked from the low volume high intensity

I disagree. For the average person who has to balance a social life, family, a job, and potentially other hobbies, 6 days a week, to failure every day is just unrealistic. Even if you don’t have all of that, 6 days a week is needlessly difficult when you can accomplish full body within 4-5 days on a more focused split. I’d much rather do 3-5 days and leave the gym knowing I lifted as much weight as I possibly could in that session, and knowing that I’ll be recovered enough to do the same for my next session, instead of having to constantly worry about passing the “overtrained line” and having to dial myself back on either volume or frequency anyway.

What are your thoughts on intuitive training?

People overexaggerate how fatiguing taking something to failure is. If youre doing curls to failure its seriously not that fatiguing and if it IS fatiguing for you, your body will adap to it. You just have a low work capacity. I don’t train everything to failure because its not smart and I wouldn’t have the energy to. But on isolations and some compounds I typically go to failure. Its not even as straining as a heavy squat set taken not close to failure. Obviously if you do rdls or squats to failure expect that to have a pretty big recovery impact. But if you think takig your little lateral raises and dumbbell curls and skullcrushers to failure is going to KILL you, you’re just lazy
