Log cabins are such high maintenance. Especially when they're built right on the ground. They recommend that you put a barrier of stone or brick between the logs and the ground. They also recommend that you put porches surrounding the structure so that the water is kept off the logs. Basically you don't want the logs exposed to any moisture. I wouldn't buy a log cabin just for that reason. I think I'd have gone for house 1 or 2. But I wish them well. They seem like a nice couple.

I LOVE the cabin they chose! I would have picked it too. To me it's no get away unless it's away from the town, out in the woods. Plus, this one had the most land with it, though still not enough!
