If you have to step over dead bodies to get to your destination then maybe humans shouldn't be there.

Edit: Don't get it twisted folks. There's a difference between thrill seeking and survival. And yes, been to Normandy. That is my current unit.

All the bodies and climbing hardware left over the decades left on this monument called Everest is flat out wrong. Once again we're f--king with nature's beauty.

His name was Donald Lynn Cash from Utah, he was 55 years old and died in 2019 from altitude sickness.

Climbing Everest should be banned until base camp is cleaned up. Utter disgrace 😢

There's is something just not right about climbing a mountain with dead people everywhere and pretending it's normal. Anyone else think this is odd or strange?

This climber is one of many that never left Everest.

Which is tragic, but also contributing to a secondary tragedy: the destruction of the mountain as an open grave, sewer, and landfill. Soon, Everest itself will become the casualty.

to think Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Sherpa did this with the limited equipment of their time is amazing

Knowing how much people pay to climb that mountain makes me appreciate the group of four climbers that called off their quest to Summit a few years ago so they could help someone (that was dying on the mountain) make it home to their family. We all think we would do the right thing, but everyone on that mountain knows the risks and understands that likely no one will stop to help. Four people gave up their chance to help someone in need, and I honestly do not think anyone else would have. I would like to think they got reimbursed from the person who was rescued. I wish I could find the names of those individuals to give them credit.

The major rock mass of the Hillary Step was knocked off the mountain by an earthquake in 2015. The Hillary Step used to be a 40-foot tall rockface that required skillful technical climbing. What's there now is vastly easier to go up and down.

Sad to see dead bodies along the climbing route! I think the mountain should be closed to climbers except for experienced Sherpa climbers who are willing, for excellent pay and a generous life/disability insurance benefit, to clean bodies and expedition trash (including old fixed ropes, etc.) off the mountain. The sacred mountain should be preserved and revered, and enjoyed from a distance.

It is so sad seeing that deceased person laying there, all alone. I wonder what went through their mind when they knew no one was coming to help:(. Rest in peace, climber.

Freaking unbelievable to think Edmund Hilary did this unaided. There were no prefixed ropes, nothing.

I can't imagine my kids growing up without me because I wanted to climb the biggest tourist attraction in climbing

People have lost the respect of that mountain long time ago. Make Everest great again.

I pray for one day humans leave alone this beautiful mountain.

That's sad to see dead climbers laying around.

Most of the people who reach the top have made it because they have Sherpas with them, the Sherpas are the real heroes of almost every climb! It's awful if something happens to them their family no longer has an income.😢❤

Can't say I've ever been on a trip or vacation where I had to step over dead bodies.

На эту гору имеют возможность подниматься только очень богатые люди, а им привычно шагать через трупы. Так было всегда. Вот и на этом видео богачи это демонстрируют.

You know, a lot of people condemn mountaineers for climbing and or dying in Everest, but it was a personal choice. Everyone will die somehow. Some will die living their dreams, and some will die with none.

Nepalis govt needs to take care of the Sherpas who die doing this work. They generate much income babysitting the hikers who have are inexperience and have no sense being up in the mountain. They so easily give them permits to any one, this is how you take some responsibility. Compensate the Sherpas families handsomely so they can survive for several years until another member of their family can support the family.
